May 2008 Official announcement: Reel has decided to take sabbatical, Fred & Peter are concentrating on their project CONTECHED, while Richard is going to set up a new project called Rammses. Keep on the look out for both!! Meanwhile, sit tight, we will return! December 2007 We wish you a happy new year!! November 2007 Our remix of Vigilante’s “Fair Fight” has appeared on their new release “War of Ideas” We just found out that German magazine Orkus released a cd with their magazine of june 2006, which contained our song which we made “together” with our Japanese friend Kenji Siratori. Although it says “Bizarre Reel” it’s really us!! September 2007 We like to thank everyone in P60, that is the audience, P60 crew and ofcourse The Young Gods. We had a great time!! Thanks again!
June 2007 Fred & Peter have decided to continue their side project CONTECHED which was put on hold for a couple of months. Check out their site. In the meantime they are currently still working on new REEL material for a forthcoming cd (release date somewhere in 2008) May 2007 REEL has done a remix of Vigilante’s “Fair Fight” Hurray hurray hurray, the 10 cd compilation with an unreleased version of “Eye Of The Storm” (From the Modus Operandi sessions) “La Tierra de los Sueños III” can be downloaded here. The already mentioned compilation cd with an unreleased version of “Eye Of The Storm” “La Tierra de los Sueños III” can soon be downloaded here (exact date unknown......., but soon, didn’t I say this already?) February 2007 Reel contributed a unreleased version of “Eye of the Storm” for a downloadable compilation cd made by Zufo from Alfaomega in Spain, called “La Tierra de los Sueños III” . More will be revealed in March!
There’s a major update in the recording progress of our new album, check it here January 2007 We like to thank everybody who attented the show in The Bastille in Schoonhoven, we had a great time, thanks again!! Gerardo from Industrialized Metal wrote this about the gig: I was really looking forward to the Reel show, and at the same time I was pretty curious how the audience would react on their ‘dance metal’ music. It turned out that to none of this was given a negative answer. Reel plays music thats quite uncommon, and catchy at the same time. The mix of dance beats, darkwave sampling and metal guitars was really appreciated by the audience, and as a good bonus they gave us some nice visuals too with lots of blacklight and crazy suits. The songs of the latest album “Modus Operandi” seemed to be the more popular ones; ‘We’ and ‘One Step Back’ caused some serious movements in the crowd, and the band managed to get their enthausiasm into the crowd quite well, which resulted in a very cool performance.
Maybe you have noticed it already, we’ve become sort of a bloodbrother with our pal Deadcell from Eindhoven. If you are an agent/promoter or programming bands, check this out:

August 2006 We currently working on a couple of new tunes, and also taking a couple of weeks off to go on holiday.

Fat Bastards wrote this (in Dutch) about our gig: “Hierna weer naar het local-stage alwaar de oude EBM tijden herleven met Reel. June 2006 The track we made “together” with our Japanese Cyberfriend Kenji Siratori has apperently changed name to “Song of Blood Electric” and can now be found all over the internet. Somebody even made a compiled video to it. I must say we look better then we ever did in this video, pay attention to the lipsync vocals!! :-)
May 2006 All the names from the Parkhof Outdoor Festval are revealed right now, we will be joined on the Local Stage by The Neukteugels, Catfish & The Jugs. Check the complete program here. March 2006 REEL GIG on 8th of July Parkhof Outdoor Festival REEL GIG on may 20th on the Molfest Unfortunally due to political issues in Zandvoort , Reel can not be heard on ZFM (Local radio Zandvoort) in the program BREED on the 13th of April. It has been prosponed to another ,yet unknown, date. Reel (and also Hypnoskull, Dive etc etc, as now appeared) has joined forces with Japanese Cyberpunk poet Kenji Siratori and a new Reel tune has been made especially for this purpose.

September 2005 Silently months have gone by. Not really actually, because we have finished the recordings of the new cd. The mixing will take place within a few weeks.Also in the meantime Fred & Peter started a new project called CONTECHED.

December 2004 Reel gig! 25th of february 2005 Parkhof Alkmaar I think it’s fair to say Reel is shocked by hearing the news of Dimebag Darrel’s (Damageplan/Pantera) unfortunate death. He is/was a great inspiration to us all. May he rest in peace! (Peter for REEL)

August 2004 Roland from “Mechanism” has remixed one of our new songs “One Step Back”
Although we were very pleased in the way we made ¨Resurrect¨ together with Felix Van Dommelen (alsmost fourth bandmember, producer, live mixer and thé person which acted as soundboard), we decided to take things in our own hands this time. In the meantime Reel is working on new material. About 18 new tracks will be recorded in the coming months and the new material will be released about spring 2005 (okay okay we will try to speed things up a bit!!)

August 2003 Belgium Industrial Magazine “Dark Entries” has released a cd once again called “Dark Demons - Excavating Agony” which acompanies their magazine. On it an special non-released track by REEL, called “Back”.
April 2003 Reel has found Rob De Bree (Chokedown) prepared to beat some (artificial) skin during live gigs! Although the release date is somewhere in September 2003, we are proud to announce Reel is included with 2 tracks on the bonus remix cd of Chokedown Yes! February 2002 Reel has seriously started to work on the forthcoming cd and has asked the help of Felix van Dommelen. Felix has been envolved with REEL from day one as engineer (Lock) - editor (Stock) and live Mixer.He’s also known from projects as Karmatic - Flat Earth Society - Ploink - Flexable Outlook & Frozen Sun Reel has done a remix of “Bleeder” from Mechanism.
